Episode 8 - Frenemies

This week for my runway illustrations, I painted the queens who were paired up together, instead of doing everyone individually. I wanted to play up their dynamics and do something bold, fun, colorful and well… visually dynamic. More paintings with ink outlines.

I finished these just in time to get ready for the next episode too. I’m excited for Frock the Vote! (Although I will miss Willam this week and I’m interested to see how the group dynamic will change without her… but I digress.)

Episode 7 - Dragazines

Watercolored ink outlines with a touch of marker and white paint. Chad Michaels, DiDa Ritz, Jiggly Caliente, Latrice Royale, Phi Phi O’Hara, Sharon Needles, and Willam.

Willam’s little glittery pink dress from RPDR S4E7: Dragazines. I think it looked amazing, but… I also found it to be very confusing to break down visually and illustrate. :x

Episode 6 - Float Your Boat!

IT’S A DRAG RAINBOW!

Solid color paintings of the queens in their respective colors this week with some touch ups in pencil, pen, and solid white: Chad Michaels, DiDa Ritz, Jiggly Caliente, Milan, Sharon Needles, Latrice Royale, Willam, and Phi Phi O’Hara.

Willam is an inspiration in indigo.

Episode 5 - The Snatch Game.

Willam’s look was pretty darn striking this episode and one of my favorites she has done. I have been going on about how I expect her to show up nude on the runway one of these days because she always does sexy and risque and shows off her body (can’t blame her!)

I can’t quite make up my mind if see through lace is more or less dressed than something like her Platinum and Gold look from E3…

Regardless I love it. I had a lot of fun figuring out a good way to represent the lace.
