A commission I did for applewaffles of her character Kim. This was a lot of fun! I really love Kim’s design and…her juicy hips. YUM!
If anyone is interested, commissions like this are only $15! More info here.
I met local author Ren Cummins at Steamcon 2012 and he gave my partner and I the first book of his YA series, Reaper’s Return. I picked it up the other night and couldn’t stop reading it, and while reading it I couldn’t shake the urge to draw the main character, Rom. Soon as I got the chance I sat down and whipped this out. Originally she was standing with a rat, but then I remembered what nargyle said in regards to her character’s poses (“If you think it’s dynamic enough, it’s not” or something along those lines), and I was like fuck static poses Rom’s a little dynamo. So I decided she ought to be leaping instead. Hur hur hur. Anyway, it was a fun exercise, and probably the first time I picked up watercolors since August. It. Felt. Good.
More experiments with ink on polypropylene. Trying to see if I can push the shapes of ink in more figurative directions. These were Christmas presents for my sister; Kochei Bessmertniy (the deathless king, an object of Russian fairytales), and a dandy lad with whom I discovered painting portraits on polypropylene is really neat.
I finished the Scott fanart for muura! @w@ Decadent rich colors yum.
Drawing and painting Scott was just as fun as anticipated, and I’m glad I finally got to try and draw her, I love seeing her (and all of her other characters) in different renditions whenever I see muura’s work on my dash and find it really invigorating and inspiring.
