Episode 11 - The Fabulous Bitch Ball
I mentioned this earlier, but I really wanted to do something that was very Vogue/New Yorker/fashion-magazine-esque fashion illustration with washy colors and delicate lines for this episode. I feel like I could have been a bit more loose with the washes in these, but aside from that I think I accomplished that kind of imagery. Instead of using a brush or felt tip pen to do the line for this set of illustrations, I used pen + nib instead which allowed for not only more fine lines, but lines that were a bit more “alive”.

Episode 9 - Frock the Vote
This is a catch-up post a few weeks after the episode aired. My apologies for the delay, but here are my illustrations for Frock the Vote! I stuck to flat marker colors for this batch of illustrations to kind of mimic the simplicity and limited colors of political campaign posters.

Episode 8 - Frenemies
This week for my runway illustrations, I painted the queens who were paired up together, instead of doing everyone individually. I wanted to play up their dynamics and do something bold, fun, colorful and well… visually dynamic. More paintings with ink outlines.
I finished these just in time to get ready for the next episode too. I’m excited for Frock the Vote! (Although I will miss Willam this week and I’m interested to see how the group dynamic will change without her… but I digress.)
