F.A.Q.

Q: “Do you do requests or commissions?”
A: I am always happy to do commissions, and I will do requests every now and then. Whether or not I am open for requests depends on how much time I have on my hands. For more information you can check my Commission and Request Info.

Q: “What do you use to make your art?”
A: I like to do both digital and traditional art.

When working traditionally some of my favourite materials to use are:
  • India or Sumi-e ink + brush
  • Waterclors + white acrylic paint.
  • Prismacolor Markers.
  • Faber Castell Pens.
  • Random brush pens.
  • Sharpies.
  • Pencil, charcoal, ballpoint pens.
When I work digitally, I do almost all of my work in OpenCanvas 1.1 and I touch my work up in Photoshop CS3.

Q: “What inspires you?”
A: I find inspiration practically everywhere. I like to draw people I know, crap I make up, scenes from nature, etc. As I’m sure folks could tell I’m really inspired by drag and fashion as well.

Q: “How did you start doing art? Where did you study?”
A: When I was growing up my dad was a graphic designer and he did a lot of illustrations, so often times I’d sit down with him while he was working, and draw stuff. As I got older I’d take art classes at conservatories and schools I attended. At 13 I discovered a pretty awesome local art school called the Seattle School of Fine Arts (now called the GAGE Academy of art) and attended their teen classes that I later helped teach. I also took fine arts classes at the University of Washington.
